The Astronaut on Mars

Every square is one face of a Rubik’s cube. First you draw the picture on grid paper — one square per sticker — then you twist each cube until its top face matches the plan, and slide it into the frame. If you bump the frame, you start that row again.

The hardest part was the helmet: the curve has to look round with only square stickers, so the yellow dots around it are not mistakes, they’re the sparkle.

It stood on an easel at the school art show with a little card next to it.
